This is a list of online research tools.

Archives - Allows you to create an online copy of a webpage that will always be up even if the original link is down - Biggest internet archive of all websites since 1996 - A database for logos and corporate branding - most newspapers published in the UK since 1800 (requires paid subscription for full access) - A searchable database of more than 185 million data items including more than 3.5 million movies - 6,200+ newspapers from the 1700s–2000s (requires paid subscription for full access)

Searchengines (claiming to respect privacy, by not tracking and monitoring searches) - Google search results, with complete privacy protection. Allows to visit searchresults, by using a proxy

Metasearchengines / Meta-Crawlers (search in multiple searchengines with one click) - Dogpile returns all the best results from leading search engines including Google and Yahoo! - Google and Yahoo! search results - searX is aggregating the results of other search engines while not storing information about its users - WebCrawler® brings users the top search results from Google, Yahoo! and other popular search engines

Reverse imagesearch (find image origins or copies, sometimes with higher resolution and quality) - Search by supplying an image or URL and find where that image appears online

Misc - View diagrams of search volume for specific terms (google searches, youtube searches, image searches)

Whois Lookup (view information about a domain, eg. registration date, owner, etc)

GeoIP lookup (search the geolocation of IP addresses)
